CirculaREEconomy
CirculaREEconomy (CREEM) is a pioneering £11 million research and development consortium aimed at building a UK-wide circular supply chain for rare-earth magnets from electric vehicles (EVs).
Rare-earth magnets like Neodymium (NdFeB) are vital to EVs—from powertrains to seat motors and speakers—but are hard to recover and recycle. Led by rare-earth recycling innovator Ionic Technologies, the project aims to tackle this challenge head-on. CREEM unites OEMs, magnet specialists and recyclers to turn this challenge into a resilient, low-carbon UK supply chain.
